  1. Language Editing and Author Services

      Authors are encouraged to ensure the manuscript is written in clear English. Language editing services are available from providers covering:

  • English language editing
  • Translation services
  • Graphical abstract design
  • Figure formatting

 

  1. Submission Process
  • Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
  • Include author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, and contact details.
  • All co-authors' email addresses must be provided at submission.
  • Articles should not be under review or published elsewhere (except for preprints).
  • The submitting author is responsible for confirming institutional and ethical approvals.

 

  1. Manuscript Structure
  • Title Page: Title, authors, affiliations, corresponding author, ORCID.
  • Abstract: Max 300 words. Structured for research articles.
  • Keywords: 3-6 relevant keywords.
  • Main Text:
    • Introduction
    • Methods (include ethical approval and detailed reproducibility)
    • Results
    • Discussion
    • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgments
  • Funding Statement
  • Conflicts of Interest
  • Data Availability Statement
  • References: Any style accepted; will be reformatted if accepted. Use numbered citations [1], [2], etc.

 

  1. Figures, Tables, and Supplementary Files
  • Include high-resolution figures (300 dpi min). Accepted formats: TIFF, JPEG, PNG, EPS.
  • Tables should be editable (not images), numbered, and cited in order.
  • Supplementary materials (e.g., video, datasets) must be labeled and submitted separately.

 

  1. Peer Review and Editorial Process
  • NJNM uses double-blind peer review.
  • All submissions undergo initial editorial screening.
  • At least two independent reviewers assess each manuscript.
  • Editors ensure transparency and absence of conflict in reviews.

 

  1. Publication Ethics
  • Research must comply with ethical standards (e.g., Declaration of Helsinki).
  • Studies involving humans or animals must have ethical approval and informed consent.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and funding sources.
  • Plagiarism or misconduct may result in rejection or retraction.
  • The journal uses plagiarism detection software (iThenticate).

 

  1. Clinical Trials and Preregistration
  • Clinical trials should be registered (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov) and include registration number.
  • Preregistration of methods and analysis plans is encouraged.

  • NJNM is an open-access journal.
  • Authors retain full copyright under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).

 

  1. Reporting Guidelines

     Authors should follow reporting standards such as:

  • CONSORT (clinical trials)
  • PRISMA (systematic reviews)
  • STROBE (observational studies)
  • CARE (case reports)
  • SRQR (qualitative studies)

 

  1. Appeals and Complaints

     Appeals may be submitted in cases of perceived technical misjudgment. Contact the journal with your manuscript ID and justification.
